Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) has arrangements with both York University (Toronto, ON) and Simon Fraser University (SFU) (Vancouver, BC) to allow students to gain both an NBS Teaching Diploma from the Teacher Training Program (TTP) and an undergraduate degree from these institutions. While the structure of both programs is similar, the content varies considerably. In both cases, students have the option of first spending three years at York or SFU, then joining NBS for two years of the Three-Year Diploma Program. Alternatively, students can complete the Three-Year Diploma at NBS, then join York or SFU in the third year of the four-year degree program, effectively receiving their degree after two years of study at either university. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Audition and academic requirements for both NBS and either York or SFU must be met for acceptance into these programs.
