This 24-week program gives students hands-on experience in putting together metal fabrication projects. Students will use pre-engineered drawings to practice using raw materials and the theory they've learned in the classroom, and then be graded on their layout, cutting, proper fitting processes to the welding procedure, inspection and quality control phases. They will be able to interpret pre-engineered blueprints, ready their equipment and prepare their materials using various techniques, and assemble, fit and weld with sheet plate, structural shapes and pipes. In the end, they will learn how to use both conventional and computer-controlled fabrication equipment (CNC). |
