The Specialist Journalism postgraduate programme draws on staff and university expertise in selected specialist areas – currently Automotive Journalism, Global Journalism and Health Journalism, and the University’s established industry links in print, broadcast and web journalism.
Students will study essential journalism theory, law and ethics, and the practical techniques of research, interviewing, writing, page layout design and audio/video techniques. Key features include a specialist magazine and relevant work experience, providing a real world context to the course.

Additional Admission Requirements: | Entry requires a good undergraduate degree in journalism or in a cognate discipline in the arts, humanities or social sciences. Equivalent qualifications from overseas and professional qualifications are also acceptable and, in specific cases, may even be credited towards postgraduate qualification. Applicants with professional/industrial experience and/or training, but not meeting the normal entry requirements will be considered on their merits. |
