Students entering the Mental Health & Wellness program are introduced to Indigenous and Western-based holistic approaches to healing and addictions counselling, utilizing a lifespan approach that includes youth, adults and older adults. The program includes an examination of addiction and recovery models as a process for working with self, programs and communities. Throughout the Mental Health & Wellness Program, learners experience practicum placements, counselling labs, and professional mentoring and coaching. They are prepared to develop community-based education programs and to work effectively in the field of mental health, addictions, wellness, and health. |

Additional Admission Requirements: | Must submit 2 SIIT character reference forms that indicate the applicant has refrained from the use of drugs and alcohol for one year prior to program start date.
