You'll learn about the important role of geography in understanding and explaining patterns of diseases, health and health care in communities, regions and nations. Water pollution, air pollution, solid and hazardous waste, toxic substances, pesticides, radiation, floods, fires, earthquakes, nuclear technology, genetically modified organisms, terrorism, war.... the health impacts of geographic issues are vast.
You can complete this module as part of a 4-year Honours Bachelor degree with a Double Major or a 3-year Bachelor degree. Registration in the honours degree usually begins in the second year, but admission may be gained in the third or fourth year provided you meet requirements. |
