Our five-year MEng Mechanical Engineering degree course begins with two years of intensive core study, giving you a thorough understanding of a wide range of engineering disciplines. The third year is spent on an industrial placement, ensuring you can put your extensive subject knowledge into practice and increasing your employability. Having built a strong foundation in engineering, your fourth year of study will be largely made up of optional modules. This allows you to develop a specialism, focus on areas of interest and engage with cutting edge research activities. The fifth and final year gives you the excellent opportunity to spend a year abroad at a leading partner institution within a Master's level degree. Please note you may have to meet a foreign language requirement in order to complete an exchange (see Entry requirements below). |
