The Interdisciplinary Arts program allows students to essentially combine two minors into a major. Students can choose two of the minors listed under the Social Sciences, Humanities, or Math programs. Thus, accommodating students who wish to graduate with a thorough understanding of both English and Psychology, for example. The Humanities minors are: history, philosophy, English, music &/or theatre. Social Sciences include: anthropology, sociology, and psychology. Math is a minor in itself that may be added to any of the other minors listed.
This program is designed to equip students with a broad understanding of human life, thought and relationships, an awareness of methods, topics and trend in the humanities and social sciences, and an advanced ability to think analytically, critically and creatively. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. The academic prerequisite for admission to a three and four year degree program is a satisfactory provincial senior high school certificate. Included in the high school certificate should be a minimum of five credits at the grade 12 level, with a minimum of three credits in university preparatory courses, including at least one English. |
