The course is designed to offer applicants who do not have the required qualifications, a programme which will equip them with a robust toolkit of the academic, digital and personal skills required for successful study in higher education, and also with an understanding of, and an insight into, a range of disciplines in the social sciences and law.
As a student on the BA (Hons) Law and Social Sciences with Foundation Year course you will study a foundation year comprising level 3 modules, after which successful completion will allow you to transfer onto any other three year degree programme offered in the Faculty of Social Sciences. Please note that you would be eligible to claim up to 4 years funding from Student Finance England under the current funding provisions (i.e. the duration of study only).

Additional Admission Requirements: | Applicants aged 18-21 must preferably have at least two years experience of study in Further Education or similar.
