CDI College's Denturist program is one of three programs in Canada approved by the Denturist Association of Canada and the only program accredited in British Columbia. Denturists specialize in the field of removable oral prostheses and supply denture care directly to the public. They provide denture services to patients via chair side appointments and also have the ability to fabricate dentures in their own clinic.
By the end of this three-year program, students will have spent time covering the theoretical, technical and clinical experiences required to assess, diagnose, design, fabricate and insert both complete and partial removable dentures. Topics include complete and removable partial dentures, dentures on implants, and practice management. In addition to the more traditional lecture and laboratory settings, students also gain clinical experience in the onsite clinic. After completing the program, graduates are eligible to sit the College of Denturists of British Columbia (CDBC) Licensing Examination. Once passed, all denturists must be registered with their regulatory college and may use the reserved title of Registered Denturist (RD).
