The Diploma of General Studies can serve as your interdisciplinary introduction to university studies. The two-year (60-credit) program allows you to customize your program of study by choosing from a wide range of courses to select those that match your interests and goals.
If you plan to continue on to complete a degree (BIS, BA, BBA, BCIS, BSc, etc.) once you have completed your diploma, it is highly recommended that you complete the first- and second-year requirements of the degree program. You can also use up to 45 transfer credits within the diploma. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants are required to have: B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, and a minimum of a C+ in English 12 or equivalent (see Note) and a minimum of a C+ in one additional Approved Grade 12 course. Note: English 12 equivalent courses include English 12 First Peoples, English Literature 12, AP English, and IB English A (standard level or higher level).
