Or maybe you'll choose civil engineering, contributing to maintaining and improving the infrastructure that keeps modern society running.
Engineering is a multi-faceted profession that incorporates elements of design, analysis and project management. You will use science to solve real-world problems and create the things we see around us every day. You will study pure sciences like physics, math and chemistry along with a wealth of dedicated engineering courses, focusing on practical application of the knowledge gained along the way. |

Applicants are required to have English 12 or English 12: African heritage, and four additional Grade 12 Academic or Advanced courses, including: Precalculus 12. Chemistry 12 is required for the certificate program (applicants without Chemistry 12 will be considered individually). Physics 12 recommended. Minimum overall average of 70%. |

Application Notes : | Since English is the language of instruction at Acadia University, candidates must be able to communicate competently in English both orally and in writing, and students whose first language is not English may be required to present the result of the TOEFL, IELTS, CAEL or PTE Academic. Acadia's English requirements are as follows: TOEFL - 90 IBT with no subtest score below 20; IELTS - 6.5 with no subtest score below 6.0; CAEL - 70 with no subtest score below 60; PTE Academic - 61 with no subtest score below 60; Cambridge English: Advanced - 176 with no subtest score below 169; or MELAB - 80. |
