Description:

Neuroscience is the multidisciplinary study of the nervous system. It ranges from research on molecular and cellular mechanisms in nerve cells and the relationship between the elements of neural systems, to the study of behavior of whole organisms. In the past decade, neuroscience has been one of the most rapidly expanding field of science. In recognition of the recent growth in York University's neuroscience faculty, infrastructure, and research, York is now offering a graduate diploma in Neuroscience. Current and incoming graduate students will be supervised by faculty members engaged in neuroscience research within the departments of Psychology, Kinesiology and Health Sciences, Philosophy, and Biology.

Additional Admission Requirements:
    Applicants must fulfill these requirements to be eligible: currently be a graduate student at the Master’s or PhD level; a their thesis or dissertation is on a topic in Neuroscience and is being conducted under the supervision of a core faculty member of the Neuroscience Graduate Diploma Program. Students in the last year of their Masters or PhD studies are not eligible to apply.
