Mathematics is the language of our technological world. It lies at the heart of scientific research, engineering, and computer science. A math degree can prepare students for a careers in science, industry, business, teaching, and more. But the study of mathematics will also assist students in developing skills beneficial for inquiry in any other disciplinary field, for example theology, philosophy, music, or psychology. Students learn to be precise and organized, to solve problems creatively, and to reason analytically. |

Must meet CMU's regular admission requirements, plus a minimum grade of 70% in grade 12 pre-calculus mathematics and two of the following grade 12 subjects: biology, chemistry, physics. |
