Description:

This fully accredited program combines holistic examination and analysis of economic, socio-cultural, political, ecological and spatial elements in reimagining our communities structured around the intertwined dimensions of urban culture and nature. Students explicitly address the principles of inclusivity and sustainability in designing for development.

    Applicants are required to have: completion of a 4- or 5-year accredited bachelor’s degree in urban planning or its equivalent; a minimum GPA or equivalent of 3.00/4.33 (B) in the last two years of study; planning experience of no less than two calendar years; and successful completion of a university level course in statistics.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 93] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85]
    Application Notes : If you have not completed two or more years, full-time, at a Canadian university or a university at which English was the primary language of instruction, or have not completed a graduate degree at a university where English was the primary language of instruction, you will be required to provide certification of English language proficiency through one of the accepted examinations listed below. Scores are valid for two years from the test date. It is important to understand that meeting the minimum English proficiency requirements does not guarantee admission. Programs may set additional requirements to these minimum standards. For exemption from this requirement, applicants are required to provide an official statement from their institutions Registrar's office confirming the use of English as the Medium of Instruction for the duration of their study.
