Our 3D Designer Maker degrees give students the opportunity to choose their area of specialist study via pathways. This could be as a ceramic practitioner, a jeweller, a designer-maker for interior objects such as furniture and lighting or as a maker choosing to work across a broad range of materials, including ceramics, metal, wood and plastics, developing your confidence and an ability to manipulate a combination of materials in order to create exciting and innovative contemporary objects.
The Designer Maker course aims to provide you with an environment in which you can work experimentally, combining materials and a range of designing and making methodologies. Approaching the design process with an understanding of making contemporary objects, which reflect current trends and practices in an ever-changing world of the designer maker. This course will enable you to create innovative design solutions and develop your ability to contextualize your design practice within a global arena. |
