Mechanical Engineering is the broadest of all the engineering disciplines. You’ll combine physics, materials science and computational methods to create complex systems which are economic, reliable, efficient and sustainable. There is a high demand for mechanical engineers, and you’ll have a wide range of career opportunities as a graduate. Depending on your level of progress, transfer to our MEng programme is possible at the end of either the first or second year. A placement year in industry enables you to build industry contacts while developing your skills and professional confidence.
