Media and communication are the lifeblood of our society, culture and democracy. We get our news from television or Twitter in moments of crisis, we rely on the cinema or video streaming platforms for our entertainment, and we connect to others and construct an image of ourselves on social media.
Our degree in Media Studies will help you succeed in building a career working in the media and creative industries and beyond as you will acquire the analytic, creative and technical skills to understand and work in digital media landscape and a fast-changing industry. You will study modules that help you analyse and create media texts and media technologies that offer you crucial insights into the workings of the media industry and media production, and that help you understand the way technologies shape society and society shapes technology.
