On the BSc Mathematics (with a Year in Industry) degree course you will cover the general range of mathematical material over your three years of study including elements of different aspects of the subject such as pure mathematics, applied mathematics and financial mathematics.
The course gives you the chance to explore and understand the number theory that Pythagoras studied, the Financial Mathematics that the highest flyers on Wall Street rely on, and a wealth of other topics reflecting the teaching team’s research expertise in probability, analysis, nonlinear partial differential equations, noncommutative geometry and algebraic topology. Subject to application, you will take your placement after the 2nd year of your studies, providing you with the opportunity to put your learning into practice.
