The MSci is ideal if you have ambitions to continue in biological research and want extra experience and a competitive edge in applying for a PhD or research jobs.
Like our BSc course, MSci Biology starts broadly and then introduces more choice from year two onwards. The additional fourth year of the degree contains advanced skills training and a substantial research project, which are especially valuable if you are aiming for a career in biological sciences. The freedom to specialise or maintain breadth throughout your studies and the range of research-oriented and transferable skills you will learn will enhance your employability as a graduate.
