Liberty University’s Master of Arts in Religion can be completed 100% online and contains extensive, well-rounded training in ministry, administration of Christian organizations, theology studies, and biblical studies. The core of our program contains the study of both the Old and New Testaments, global studies, hermeneutics, and homiletics.

The Christian apologetics area of focus for the online Master of Arts in Religion degree is designed to lead you through an examination of the history, Scripture, theology, and arguments of Christian apologetics. You will study common difficulties for the Christian faith and how to address them meaningfully. You will also cover various styles of argumentation including classical and presuppositional approaches. Additionally, you can learn about the coexistence of both science and the Bible and the methods of approaching supposed difficulties within Christianity.

Throughout this degree program, you will study principles that originated from Christian apologists from the early church such as Saint Augustine while gaining modern perspectives from more recent voices like C.S. Lewis. The diversity of thought that is explored within our program provides a thorough and far-reaching course of study.

With this foundation of knowledge, you can be engaged through courses focused on current issues that address modern criticisms of Christianity and the Church.
