The Master of Technology Management program will provide you with strategic planning and decision making skills in the context of technology-based organizations. You will gain insight into the nature, structure, and operation of technical operations, and the factors that influence business decisions and success of technology-based organizations. The program enhances career development opportunities for entry-level managers or those looking to become managerial professionals in their field and provides professionals with a number of career paths, including: 1) managers in high-tech firms, 2) business analysts, 3) consultants, and 4) entrepreneurs in technological ventures.
Description of program
The Marine Institute’s Master of Technology Management (MTM) is a fully online, course-based program that provides a core of technology and business management courses together with elective options that offer opportunities to focus in particular areas.
The MTM program is offered in the Engineering Technology and Applied Science. The program provides professional development opportunities for busy, working professionals engaged in a variety of engineering technology and other technical and non-technical professions. It also provides the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage complex technical operations, deal with the challenges and dynamics of innovation-driven industries, and strategically consider issues encompassing the management of engineering technology.
Minimum admission requirements
- MTM – Bachelor's degree (minimum second class) in an appropriate area of study; applicants must have an undergraduate degree with appropriate technology and business management courses; a minimum of two years related employment experience is also normally required. Minimum TOEFL scores are: 580 for the paper-based test; 237 on the computer-based test; or 92 on the Internet-based test. The minimum IELTS score is an overall band score of 7.0. The minimum MUNTEL score is an overall band score of 70.
