In the program you'll go from lakes to rivers, and coastal zones to the fragile offshore. You'll be responsible for protecting the marine environment and developing solutions to manage our marine resources. You'll gain hands-on experience as you search for smart solutions in the field, lab and boardroom. Upon graduating and kick-starting your career, you'll be among the highly- respected professionals who influence this new and rapidly-growing sector of the industry.
This three-year program consists of six academic semesters with two practical skills training sessions and a work term. Further professional experience is gained in the Professional Orientation session prior to graduation. Certification in water safety such as Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1, MED A3, Small Vessel Operator Proficiency, Confined Space Awareness and First Aid are provided in the program. Field experience in sampling and navigation are also included. |

You must meet the Marine Institute's Application and Admission Regulations either immediately upon graduation from high school, following a period of employment subsequent to graduation, or by transfer from another post-secondary institution. |
