Description:

Graduates of the Criminology Diploma program are employed in nearly every aspect of the justice system. Work activities might include protecting the public, detecting and preventing crime, probation supervision, social advocacy, counselling or conducting research. Graduates may also continue their education in criminology, social work, psychology, law and related social and behavioural sciences.

Prerequisites:

Applicants are required to have successful completion of one of the following: Grade 12 (with English 12 or English 12: First Peoples); or an ABE/Academic Upgrading Advanced Certificate; or a GED Certificate; or Grade 11, with an outstanding academic record, in the year of application. Math 11 or Math 045 or equivalent will be required for second year. Students graduating from Grade 12 in 2014 will require Foundations of Math 11 or Pre-calculus 11 or Math 045 or equivalent that’s required for second year.   • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80]
Application Notes : Applicants whose first language is not English are required to have a minimum TOEFL score of 80 (IBT), an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent as determined by College of New Caledonia, or have completed CNC’s English for Academic Purposes.
