College of New Caledonia (CNC), located in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, has been an institution of "first choice" for students of British Columbia's central interior since 1969. Dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in education, CNC offers a wide range of university credit, technical, vocational, and general interest programs.
The College of New Caledonia specializes in Business and Management, Health Sciences, Social Services, Technologies, Trades, and Apprenticeship Training.
The College of New Caledonia student residence is located next to the main campus building in Prince George. There are 92 units, which provide a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere for students, while also being convenient for classes and the CNC library, and all College and recreation facilities. During the academic year, the residence is fully booked with both long term students and short term trades students, although rooms do become available in January and a "wait list" is maintained. Rates begin at $2000 per semester for a standard room with two rooms sharing a bathroom. This includes all utilities and cable TV. There are four adapted units for people with disabilities. Each room is equipped with a microwave and bar size fridge, as well as a kitchen sink.
New students to CNC will be welcomed with an array of orientation activities specific to their program of study. Additionally, professional counselors and academic advisers will be readily available to provide assistance in dealing with educational, career, and personal concerns.
Located on the main floor of the Prince George Campus, the Employment and Co-operative Education Centre delivers a full spectrum of high quality, employment related services to students, graduates, and employers.
The College of New Caledonia offers intercollegiate sports, as well as recreation and intramural athletics for all students.
The College of New Caledonia Department of Athletics and Recreation is committed to providing students the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities at all levels of competition, promote fitness and wellness to the College population, and providing opportunities for self enhancement.
The Student Association and Student Newspaper is available to all students.
Computer accounts and laboratories are available to all students.
Services and facilities available to all students include counseling services, daycare, and services for students with disabilities.
The College of New Caledonia is 'twinned' with the Changsha Communications University located in Changsha, China. Exchanges of staff and students are being reviewed. The College of New Caledonia offers full-time programs in English Language Training and access to other college programs subject to Canadian student enrollments. In addition, English Language Training programs (designed for specific international institutions and areas of study), summer immersion programs, short term English Language Training, and cultural study tours are also offered. Students from outside of Canada planning to attend CNC should contact the International Education Department. The International Education Department also provides orientation programs, housing services, and personal advising and assistance to international students.
