This program is designed to prepare individuals for pastoral leadership in the local church, or for graduate study at seminary.
Students in the B.Th. will: demonstrate competency in understanding, interpreting, applying, and communicating the biblical message, express a Christian worldview, experience located ministry, analyze various cultural contexts for ministry with particular emphasis on Canadian culture, articulate the principles of the Stone-Campbell movement within the larger context of Christian history, demonstrate a willingness to love God and serve people, demonstrate the basic skills necessary to effectively equip others for service and ministry, practice discipline in developing a spiritual life that fosters personal and professional well-being; and develop the skills and attitudes of a life-long learner. |

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants should be Christian men and women who are intent on learning more of God, His Son, and the Christian Scriptures, have made a profession of faith in Christ and desire to learn about service to Christ and people and possess a grade 12 diploma or its recognized equivalent. If English is not your first language, a 60% in Alberta English 30 is required.

Applicants must submit a 300–400 word statement (testimony) outlining the following: your general background; faith journey and religious experience; educational goals and expectations; and your reasons for wanting to attend Alberta Bible College. Applicants must also submit two references. The pastoral reference not be related to you and should be someone over the age of 25. A work supervisor, teacher or guidance counsellor, or family friend, are some ideas of people you could ask to serve as your Employer or Professional Acquaintance Reference. Your professional reference should not be related to you and should be someone over the age of 25. A youth leader, teacher, church elder, or pastor, are some ideas of people you could ask to serve as your Pastor or Church Leader Reference. |
