Located in Calgary, Alberta, Alberta Bible College has existed since 1932 to equip men and women for effective service to the church and for the proclamation by word and life of the good news of Jesus Christ to all.
Through a variety of different programs, Alberta Bible College exists as a place where students of any age can spend concentrated time in the study of His word, in service to His church, and in community with His people.
Practical ministry education at its best! Every student and every faculty and staff member is engaged in expressing "the mind of Christ" according to gifts and opportunities. The integration of "transformational learning" combining knowledge, service, and relationships is on the cutting edge of service preparation.
Through Christ, transformation starts here.
ABC does not provide on-campus housing.
Most students find satisfactory situations in homes or apartments with other young people, usually ABC students, sharing expenses and responsibilities in a light housekeeping arrangement. A few prefer to pay for room and board in a private home. These experiences have proven to be "exciting and rewarding" as students, having accepted responsibility, grow, and mature. Administration facilitates communications and provides consultation. Students can expect to pay between $400.00 and $500.00 a month for room and board.
At the beginning of the fall semester, all new students are expected to attend orientation in order to understand the expectations of undergraduate education as it is lived out at ABC.
Participation in athletics and recreational activities is encouraged. ABC maintains a well-equipped gymnasium for volleyball, basketball, badminton, ping-pong, floor hockey, and table tennis. An ice rink and larger playing fields are all within a block of the College. Students are involved in community basketball and volleyball leagues.
Our naturally lit chapel provides an atmosphere where students may assemble and in quietness and confidence seek the Lord with the whole heart. This facility is equipped with state-of-the-art theatre lighting. A modern, comfortable area conducive to conversation and relaxation is our Student Centre. A kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave is provided for snack or lunch preparation. A student games area with pool table, ping-pong and foose-ball is also an enjoyable way of building community!
Modern audio-visual and computer equipment assist the learning experience.
