The computer and information sciences department offers a bachelor of science degree in computer and information sciences (CIS). Students may emphasize one or more key component areas in the major, specifically information security and digital forensics, mobile application development including wearables and SMART technology, business systems programming, database administration, and networking and communications. CIS majors have a high percentage of internship experiences and high graduate school and job placement rates. Additionally, the undergraduate curriculum is structured in a way that allows students to complete the prerequisite courses for the MBA program at Niagara allowing students to accelerate their completion of an MBA. CIS curriculum is comprised of the information systems accreditation criteria with a specialty emphasis in the area of information technology, namely security specializing in forensics and web development. |
