Niagara University is located in New York State in the town of Lewiston (population 2,000). The vision of the school is influenced and informed by a Catholic ideology and inspired by St. Vincent de Paul, a 17th century Catholic priest who served and motivated others to serve the poor.
Lewiston is about 30 kilometres from Buffalo, New York and is on the northern boundary of the city of Niagara Falls, New York.
There are five residence halls, and a grouping of residence cottages and on-campus student apartments where Niagara University students can live. Both co-ed and single gender accommodations are available.
The Office of Career Development prepares Niagara University students for the lifelong process of finding employment commensurate with their academic preparation, interests, experiences, capabilities, and career and life goals. This preparation includes gaining relevant work experience, assessing skills, developing resumes, researching employers, and practicing for job interviews.
There are recreational programs offered that can be taken individually, such as aerobics, exercise and weight rooms, skiing, track, dance-line, karate, and swimming.
There are approximately 70 different clubs and organizations available to Niagara University students. These include various fraternities and sororities, along with many clubs. Please see the school's Web site for more details.
