The Christian Studies program enables students to become life-long agents of transformative change in the world. In the program, students not only study and experience the Christian faith, but also reflect upon the relevance of this faith for their own lives and the world in which they live. All students take a core of foundational courses in Bible, Christian Theology and History, and Christian Spirituality. Students focus on one of three streams enabling further study of and reflection upon various aspects of their chosen area. Finally, a significant part of the program is the opportunity for students to participate in a travel study venture ‘Down Ancient Paths’ which provides lifechanging exposure to biblical landscapes and ancient Christian traditions. Students who choose the four-year major will have the opportunity to study their chosen stream in even more detail, and critically reflect upon the relevance and meaning of their Christian studies learning in a fourth-year capstone seminar course. |
