Ambrose University (formerly Alliance University College and Nazarene University College (AUC-NUC)) is a Christian institution located in Calgary that collaborates to offer provincially accredited Bachelor of Arts degrees and ABHE accredited professional ministry degrees. Together, we are a vibrant community of scholars, educators and students fully engaged in delivering and pursuing academic excellence that develops Christian leaders.

A comfortable apartment style residence is located near our campus. The residence includes a program that provides an excellent transition from home to independent living. Each suite comes equipped with a microwave, all kitchen appliances, and furniture.

Incoming Students

New student orientation is offered every year to all students who are new to Ambrose University College.

Career Planning

A Career and Development Centre is available for students interested in resume writing, employment opportunities, etc. The centre offers services such as career and vocational development, several types of personality assessments to help students discover the kind of job that suits them best, a variety of workshops in education planning and career events such as CAMP days. It is also possible to find employment within the school itself.

Sports

Ambrose University College students participate in united varsity teams in the Alberta Colleges Athletic League. Our athletics and recreation program is housed in our new and easily accessible gym facilities.

Activities

Student development integrates faith, learning and living into the academic experience of our students through co-curricular programs, activities and services.

Students at Ambrose University College participate in several areas of spiritual development:

  • Wednesday and Friday community chapels.
  • Community days (Days of Prayer, Spiritual Renewal and Missions Emphasis).
  • Covenant groups, which are spiritual families on campus.
  • Spiritual retreats.
  • Prayer groups.

Clubs

For the student who loves the outdoors, we have an outdoors club that you can join. This club meets on a regular basis and members participate in self propelled outdoor activities and acquire new skills while doing so.

Information Technology

State of the art downtown facilities with excellent audio visual equipment in each classroom as well as wireless Internet connection. Ambrose University College has a one computer for 17 students ratio.

Extensive educational travel opportunities are available in most programs. International students coordinator available for consultation on campus.
