Visualize the sun setting on the horizon while you are flying. With your Night Rating you will be able to chase the sun and enjoy flying with no time restrictions. Flying at night is like floating underneath a bed of stars in the calm nighttime air. Truly an experience! The Night Rating, offered by Montair, follows the guidelines set out in the Canadian Aviation Regulations (a copy is provided on the back of this page). This rating requires a minimum of 20 hours flight time. The 20 hours flight time shall consist of at least 5 hours dual night instruction (of which 2 hours shall be cross country) and 5 hours of solo night time. You must also complete a total of 10 hours of dual instrument instruction. In most cases, 5 hours dual instrument instruction has been acquired from your private pilot training. The Night Rating is included in the commercial course cost. |
