The 3-year Computer Science co-op program prepares students for a wide variety of challenging careers or further studies in Information Technology. Students develop expertise in object-oriented programming, web programming, database modeling and design, hardware/software installation, operating systems, networks and IT security. Students gain experience with an array of technologies, languages and tools including Java, Python, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, Node.js, ASP.NET, C#, XML, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, and Linux. They also develop expertise in communications, interpersonal skills, business fundamentals, problem solving and professionalism.
Qualified students are eligible to be placed in two paid summer work terms. Access to a professional setting gives students practical real-life work experience, greatly improving their employability. Please refer to our website to verify the eligibility criteria for co-op. |
