Orientation week and our student-for-a-day program both help new students familiarize themselves with the college. Counselling centres and student associations are also there for the benefit of new students.
Academic Advisors are available to provide information about your academic planning options, and to assist you make effective choices regarding your individual educational needs and aspirations. Additionally, a counselor is available for confidential personal and crisis counselling, as well as career planning.You can make an appointment in advance or come see the counselor during drop-in periods for a confidential consultation.
Fitness and dance classes are available as well as the intramural sports listed above.
Committees exist for special events such as Spirit Week, Multicultural Week, Christmas and Valentine’s Day semi-formals, pub nites, pool tournaments, international film series and various other forms of entertainment, in cooperation with Student Services and the Student Association.
At Heritage College you can find clubs for interests as varied as the Alpine Club, band, break dancing, DJ and urban lifestyle, drama (The Bacchus Players), the Even Ground Student Fellowship, newspaper, Walk/Run Club, Women’s Committee, yearbook, and organizing committees for special events such as Spirit Week, Multicultural Week, Christmas and Valentine’s Day semi-formals, pub nites, pool tournaments, international film series and various other forms of entertainment, in cooperation with Student Services and the Student Association.
