The Medical Administrative Assistant program provides students with the opportunity to develop skills in administration fields, thus increasing their employment opportunities. The program is designed to provide students with medical administrative assistant skills, as well as the business, technology and communication expertise needed to work in a private physician’s office, clinic, hospital or nursing home. Emphasis is placed on medical terminology, medical office procedures, body systems and transcription.
