| This program is an introduction to the identification and control of pests, weeds, diseases and disorders of horticultural crops, including their spread and effects on plants. Students will study viruses, bacteria, fungi and weeds. This course will be taught in three segments. Students will work with concepts of integrated pest management for horticulture, write the Provincial Pesticide Applicator exam, and will demonstrate the competent use of a backpack sprayer. |
