This degree may be taken full-time over one year or part-time over two years. The programme commences in early September and finishes in August each year. Students select eight courses from the following list: Actuarial Statistics I & II, Survey Sampling, Experimental Design, Mathematical Statistics, Nonparametric Statistics, Regression, Survival Analysis, Stochastic Models, Time Series, Bayesian Analysis, Monte Carlo Inference, Numerical Algorithms, Mathematical Biology, Simulation Modelling & Analysis and Data Analysis. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. At least a second class honours degree (or equivalent) in Statistics or a cognate subject area is required for entry. Interested students who do not qualify for direct entry to this programme may qualify by taking the Higher Diploma in Statistics (a distinction is required for entry to the MSc programme). |
