Applicants presenting qualifications gained outside Ireland are assessed for admission purposes on an individual basis by our Overseas Selection Committee. However, applicants must normally meet the matriculation requirements and attain examination qualifications which equate with the entry standard of Irish students. There is keen competition for admission to all courses and the standard required is consequently very high.
Canadian school qualifications are acceptable for consideration for admission to University College Dublin.
Students who are interested in applying for Medicine (including Physiotherapy and Radiography) or Veterinary Medicine should apply via the Atlantic Bridge Program (please see website for contact details).
All other applicants from outside the EU applying for undergraduate degree programmes should apply via www.ucd.ie/apply (applicants from within EU apply via www.cao.ie - closing date 1 February prior to entry). The form will be available from November 2007. The normal closing date for applications is the 2nd Tuesday in March. Please note, places in Medicine are very limited and normally quotas are filled through our agents. Applicants are required to send up-to-date High School and College transcripts (if appropriate) and recent SAT scores.
