Description:

As the Faculty of Nursing celebrates its 50 year anniversary in 2008, the MN program continues to evolve. The Faculty of Nursing introduced a Master’s of Nursing degree in Advanced Practice with a Thesis/Report Stream in 1995. In 1999 the MN program was expanded to include a Nurse Practitioner (NP) Stream. In 2008 the MN program was again expanded to include a course-based Nurse Educator (NE) Stream.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Normally, a BN or BScN with courses in undergraduate statistics and nursing research. A grade of at least a B is generally required for these courses. Normally, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 or B+ level.
    Test Scores:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 213] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7]

    Registration or eligibility for registration as a registered nurse in the province of New Brunswick (Nurses Association of New Brunswick), which includes International Applicants. Must be registered by September of year the student begins.
