Selkirk College offers elective courses in computer science. These elective courses are transferable to a variety of post-secondary institutions. Course requirements vary among post-secondary institutions. We advise that you plan your program with a Selkirk College counsellor or contact the UAS School Chair for information on transferability.

Admission to the program requires the completion of Pre-calculus 12, Foundations 12, MATH 051 or MATH 50 with a grade of "C" or better, or written permission of the Instructor and School Chair. Other prerequisites depend on the electives chosen to complete the program. Students who lack the admission requirements may still gain entry to the program by taking a combination of upgrading and university courses in their first year. This may extend the length of their program. |

Application Notes : | If your first language is not English, you must meet the following English Language Proficiency requirements for entry in to Selkirk College University Transfer, Diploma or Degree programs: completion of BC English 12, or equivalent; or completion, with a grade of "C+" or better, advanced core courses in the Selkirk College English Language Program and Provincial Level English 51; or submission of a TOEFL score of 213 (computer) or ibt 79-80 or better; or submission of an IELTS score of 6.0 or better; or submission of an EIKEN Grade Pre -1; or submission of an acceptable score on the Language Proficiency Index score of 4 or better. For Indian students coming through the SPP program, the IELTS requirement for diploma programs is 6.0 with no band less than 5.5. |
