This program is designed to equip the student to provide leadership of the Worship Arts in a ministry context. Lead Pastor, denominational leaders and Worship Arts pastors tell us that worship arts leaders in churches need a solid Biblical foundation, strong people and leadership skills alongside good musical skill and understanding. Students in this program will learn much of their musical knowledge in their practicum and will hone their musical skills through private lessons and practice.
Field Education units are an integral part of this program. The student observes and experiences various ministries in the first year and then gets involved in increasing levels of leadership during their second and third years all while being mentored. This real-world experience prepares them for the final year where they serve in ministry at least half-time for the full year and get a complete experience in pastoral leadership – again with a mentor to guide them through the journey. |
