Public and Environmental Health incorporates areas of study that all fall under the umbrella term; public health. Environmental Health Practitioners (EHP's) must be able to make sense of complex situations from the natural and man-made worlds to arrive at judgements and devise intervention strategies that are rational, transparent and defendable.
This course allows students already in possession of a sound general knowledge of the natural and human-made worlds and their systems to build on these skills to establish the context in which different stressors impact on humans and how this requires environmental health intervention. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants will need to have successfully completed a FdSc in Public and Environmental Health (or a similar subject). |
