UWE offers programmes at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A guide to acceptable qualifications for each level of study is listed below:
1. High School Diploma eligible for Bachelors degree. Various grades/scores are required but dependant on province, typically 60 - 65% at grade 12 or grade B
2. Bachelor degree eligible for Masters degree. 9 point scale – 6 or above. Percentage (60% pass) – at least 72%.
Percentage (50% pass) – at least 66%. Alpha – B or above. GPA – 2.7 or above (out of 4)
3. Masters eligible for PhD study
All UWE students must have a recognised English Language qualification. Our preferred tests include IELTS, Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE). Students from Canada are not required to take an IELTS provided they have achieved at least 60% in Grade 11 High School diploma. Students from Quebec will require IELTS, with overall scores dependant on level of study.
