Description:

Real estate encompasses commercial and residential property across the public, private and charity sectors. Property management is a feature of most large organisations while residential property includes an increasingly diverse range of tenures and organisational arrangements. There is considerable demand for qualified professionals with the skills and knowledge to develop, value and manage our built environment.

This course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation (IRRV), the European Council of Real Estate Professions (CEPI) and the European group of Valuers (TEGOVA). You will learn about buying and selling, valuations, resolving landlord and tenant disputes, negotiating compensation and day-to-day management. You will examinelegal and economic forces and their impact on planning and professional practice. As you progress, you will value property for different purposes and utilise landlord and tenant law in property management. During your final year, you will study commercial agency and the international environment for property management.
