With climate change high on the political agenda, governments, science and industry are keen to find new ways to mitigate risk. As resources become scarce, making good use of existing resources through effective energy management is also vital. As a result, there is growing demand for skilled professionals who understand how best to manage our energy, environment and resources.
This course examines the impact of people on the environment as a result of their demand and use of global resources. It will also help you develop the skills and knowledge to identify and evaluate sustainable approaches to resource management. The main themes include water, energy, climate change / global warming and environmental hazards. In your final year, you can choose to specialise in renewable energy, water futures, or develop a broad training in energy management. Alongside, you will develop analytical, problem solving, decision making, communication and business skills preparing you for the workplace. |
