Marketing is a dynamic, creative and competitive industry with diverse sectors, roles and careers and is central to any successful business.
This engaging, academically rigorous course provides a solid foundation in business and a focus on Marketing for students keen to enter marketing or brand management careers. The flexible and practical nature of the course allows you to hone interests and skills while valuable Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) accreditations expand knowledge and increase employability. Core business themes and an understanding of business functions underpin specialist marketing modules in the key areas of branding, public relations, research, global marketing and digital marketing. You will learn how to create a brand, pitch your ideas, undertake market research and respond to briefs.
You are encouraged to undertake a 40-week paid placement relevant to this degree supported by an award-winning placement team. UWE Bristol has a strong and growing network of placement organisations and, to date, students have secured marketing and business-related placements in a variety of organisations including Mini, Disney, Coca Cola, Intel, GlaxoSmithKline and other small, medium and multi-national organisations. There are also opportunities and support to set up your own business. |
