Get equipped with extensive hands-on training in a state-of-the-art studio. Production majors receive extensive hands on training in a state-of-the-art recording studio that employs industry standard equipment. All aspects of the engineering process are covered in detail including recording, mixing and mastering and at several points within the course timetable students are encouraged to design and complete their own studio project. Enrollment is limited to 10 students per year in order that each student may receive the best individual instruction. Entrance into the program is based on grade point average in addition to criteria outlined in the calendar.

Application Notes : | If your first language is not English, you must meet the following English Language Proficiency requirements for entry in to Selkirk College University Transfer, Diploma or Degree programs: completion of BC English 12, or equivalent; or completion, with a grade of "C+" or better, advanced core courses in the Selkirk College English Language Program and Provincial Level English 51; or submission of a TOEFL score of 213 (computer) or ibt 79-80 or better; or submission of an IELTS score of 6.0 or better; or submission of an EIKEN Grade Pre -1; or submission of an acceptable score on the Language Proficiency Index score of 4 or better. For Indian students coming through the SPP program, the IELTS requirement for diploma programs is 6.0 with no band less than 5.5. |
