This is a dual honours course run by the Sheffield University Management School and the School of Mathematics and Statistics. Your time is split equally between the two subjects. You'll get a good grounding in both, which opens up all kinds of career possibilities from human resource management to meteorology.
The maths side of the course includes some applied mathematics, and probability and statistics, but you don't need any prior knowledge of these subjects. You'll learn the basics of business management, including management information systems, marketing, organisational behaviour and strategy. Optional business modules cover topics such as consumer behaviour, industrial relations and international business.
