You will study the language and the rich culture of both countries, developing a critical appreciation of contemporary issues. You'll study China's rapidly developing economy, its political influence, art and society. Japanese modules cover issues relating to the environment, ethnic relations and employment.

Applicants are required to have an average of 75% in six grade 12 U, U/C or M courses. No prior knowledge of Chinese or Japanese required (up to A level Chinese and up to GCSE Japanese acceptable).
