The course gives you a solid grounding in modern economic theory and techniques of applied economic analysis. You'll develop the quantitative and analytical skills economists need to make informed judgements.
In the first year, you'll take modules in economic analysis, policy and mathematical and statistical methods for economics. Optional modules include Economic History of Britain and the Modern World, Introductory Finance for Economics and Classical and Contemporary Thinkers in Economics. In the second and third years, you build on what you've learned and take optional modules in aspects of economics that interest you. Topics in Advanced Microeconomics and Macroeconomics help prepare you for work as a professional economist. |
