Description:

This course focuses on developing your oral and written fluency in French to a high standard. You'll also study French and Japanese society and culture. Options include literature, linguistics, society, cinema, business, politics, cultural and gender studies.

You'll spend your third year in a French-speaking country. As the minor subject on this degree, Japanese is taught non-intensively covering basic speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. For courses that focus more on Japanese and include time spent in Japan, have a look at the School of East Asian Studies.
